Accomplishments: Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Unit Commendation x 2, Joint Meritorious Unit Award for various unit deployment achievements. Helped with the Earthquake Releif efforts in Pakastan. His unit performed over a 1000 HST's (helicopter lifts), which delivered tons of food and supplies to the people.
Medals: Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal x 3
Accomplishments: He fought several major battles with his battalion using a self propelled Quad 50 Caliber Machine guns until his brother was killed fighting with the 29th Regimental Combat Team. James was then assigned to escort his brother's body back from Seoul, Korea to Joplin, MO.

Medals: Parachute Wings, 2 Army Commendatin Medals for Valor, 3 Air Medals, 2 Bronze Stars, & a Purple Heart. Received other Vietnam Service Ribbons, his unit was awarded a Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and a Presidential Unit Citation. Also Combat Infantry's Badge.
