My Grandfather was a part of the 636 T.D. Battalion that was present at Ficshorn Castle the day Hermann Goering was captured. He also gave talks at local schools in Neodesha of his time served during WWII. He is also mentioned and pictured in the book "Seek, Strike, Destroy; The History of the 636th Tank Destroyer Battalion" written by Tom Sherman and also on the Roster at the Mabry Museum in Austin, Tx.
