Accomplishments
|
In June and July 1944 he fought in the Wadki-Sarmi campaigh of New Guinea against the 18th Japanese Army. In September 1944 invaded the jungle of Morotai, Southeast of the Phillipines, to capture a strategic air field. In 1945 the island of Mindanao and then northwards liberating the Philippines. It was here he was lost in the war from his division for one month before being found.
